What's Included When You Adopt a Solette Kitten

We believe transparency about what's included in a kitten's price is basic respect for the families who trust us with one of our cats. Here's exactly what comes with every pet-quality kitten that leaves Solette.

WCF Pedigree

Every kitten is registered with the World Cat Federation under our registered cattery name, documenting several generations of verified ancestry, including any championship titles held by parents and grandparents. We explain what this documentation means in Understanding WCF Registration.

Full Vaccination

Kittens receive their full, age-appropriate vaccination schedule before leaving our home, protecting against the core feline diseases recommended by veterinary guidelines. We keep detailed records of exactly what was given and when, provided to you as part of the kitten's health documentation.

Deworming Treatment

All kittens complete a deworming protocol appropriate for their age, addressing common intestinal parasites that kittens can carry from birth regardless of how clean their environment is.

International Health Passport

Each kitten leaves with a veterinary health passport documenting vaccinations, treatments, and general health checks — the same kind of document required for pet travel across many international borders, useful whether or not you plan to travel with your cat.

Microchip

Every kitten is microchipped before leaving our home, providing a permanent, scannable form of identification that dramatically increases the odds of reunion if a cat is ever lost, and is a legal requirement for pet identification in many countries including Spain.

Sterilization

Pet-quality kittens are spayed or neutered, either before leaving our home or under a written agreement completed shortly after, depending on the kitten's age and veterinary guidance. Parent Health Testing Documentation

While not something that travels physically with the kitten, every family receives access to documentation confirming that both parents have been cardiac-screened for HCM and DNA tested clear for PKD — the two health considerations most relevant to the breed.

Ongoing Support

Beyond physical documentation, every Solette family receives our continued availability for questions about diet, behavior, health, or anything else that comes up over the course of your cat's life. We don't consider our relationship with a family to end at pickup.

What's Not Automatically Included

To be transparent about the boundaries: ongoing pet insurance, future veterinary care beyond the initial health package, and physical supplies like carriers, beds, or food aren't included in the kitten's price, though we're always happy to advise on what to prepare before bringing a kitten home — covered fully in Preparing Your Home for a Kitten.

Documentation You'll Receive at Pickup

At the time your kitten goes home, you'll receive its health passport with a full vaccination and treatment history, microchip registration details, and — once finalized — WCF pedigree documentation. We also provide written care guidance covering feeding, litter habits, and what to expect during the adjustment period, so you're not left guessing about your kitten's established routine.

Why We Include This Much as Standard

Our goal is for every family to understand precisely what they're receiving and why, with nothing left ambiguous or assumed.

Support Beyond the Paperwork

Alongside the physical documentation, every family leaves with our direct contact information and a genuine invitation to reach out — about feeding questions in the first weeks, behavior questions months later, or simply to share photos of how your kitten is growing. We've stayed in touch with families whose Solette kittens are now many years into adulthood, in Spain and in the ten-plus countries our cats have gone on to call home.

Why We Don't Treat This as Optional

Some sellers treat vaccinations, microchipping, or health documentation as optional upgrades priced separately. We don't, because we don't consider a kitten genuinely ready for a new home without all of it already in place. This is a deliberate choice about the kind of breeder we want to be, not simply a pricing strategy.
